A Note from the Sellers
| Dear Future Homeowners,
Five years ago, my girlfriend (now wife!) and I bought this house when it was time to leave our shared house with friends and officially enter the adult chapter of our lives. Since then, a lot has happened. We got married, welcomed our daughter, and filled this home with some of our favorite memories. Now, our little family has outgrown it, which makes leaving bittersweet. For us, this home has been pretty close to perfect. One of our favorite things has been being able to walk or bike almost everywhere. Saturday mornings often meant walking to downtown Willow Glen for breakfast at Bill’s and shopping for local produce at the farmers market. Summer meant plenty of afternoons in the pool. We’ve also made good use of the local brewery scene. Narrative Fermentation is our favorite, with Clandestine and Hapa’s close behind. One of our favorite little adventures was biking to Hapa’s via the nearby trail. The trail drops you off practically at the brewery, which is a pretty great excuse to get on a bike. We also love taking advantage of the Caltrain and VTA Light Rail station, about half mile away. They’ve made it easy to head downtown for a San Jose Sharks game or hop on Caltrain and explore up the Peninsula. We’ve taken it to a few Giants games, Oktoberfest in Redwood City, Art & Wine festivals in Mountain View, and even just for a night out in downtown Palo Alto. It’s pretty nice having so many options without having to get in the car. And then there are the places practically at our doorstep. Souvlaki Greek Skewers across the street is so good, and Giving Pie next door has fantastic quiches. Toast Café & Grill on Bird is about a 10-minute walk. Beyond all of that, we’ve really loved the feel of this neighborhood. It’s wonderfully quiet (we’re definitely the loud ones 😂), and the neighbors have been incredibly kind and welcoming. We’ll miss them, too. We’ve regularly hosted groups of eight or ten without any trouble, and there has always been plenty of parking for friends and family. Most of all, this house has been the backdrop to a really special five years of our lives. We started here as two people figuring out the next chapter, got married, became parents, and watched our life change around us. So yes, it’s a little bittersweet to say goodbye. But we’re excited for what’s next, and we hope you’ll settle in quickly, find your favorite neighborhood spots, enjoy everything Willow Glen has to offer, and make this home your own from day one. Wishing you all the best, The Tuckers
